Four hundred (400) questionnaires were administered to young people between the ages of 18 and 35 years in Accra and Three hundred and fifty 350 were used. The study employed descriptive and exploratory research methodology design and the data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The study also investigated the factors affecting consumer attitudes and their relationship with mobile marketing. This study is aimed at finding out the receiving and action-oriented attitudes of the youth towards mobile marketing, particularly the rate at which the youth use mobile marketing to determine the propensity to be influenced in their actions. Mobile Marketing has become one of the most widespread media to communicate with potential and existing customers mainly in the form of text advertisements through the internet. The advancement in technology is influencing the ways in which organizations conduct business and marketing activities. The “subjective norm” excluded from the TAM remain in the TPB this factor consists of normative beliefs about what others think and the motivation to comply with others as well as the perception of social pressure flowing from important reference persons in performing a behavior (Fishbein & Ajzen, 1975 Ajzen & Fishbein, 1980). Although Ajzen suggested that the link between behavior and behavioral control should be between behavior and actual behavioral control, PBC is used as a proxy for actual behavioral due to the difficulty of assessing actual control (Eagly & Chaiken, 1993). Control beliefs include the perceived availability of skills, resources, and opportunities, whereas, perceived facilitation is the individual’s assessment of the available resources needed to achieve a given set of outcomes. The PBC construct is influenced by the effects of two beliefs: Control beliefs and perceived facilitation. The TPB views that the control people have over their own behavior lies on a continuum from behaviors that are easily performed to those requiring considerable effort and resources. For example, the skills, opportunities, and resources needed to use a system will influence behavior. PBC is defined as one’s perception of the difficulty of performing a behavior. is very similar to the TRA, except that it includes an additional construct, PBC.
